Concept of candid

An important aspect of wedding photojournalism is candid photography. Candid photography is usually associated with the use of long tele lenses where the photographer stands at a distance. But with the right techniques it can be done at very close range.

One key element is the use of available light. That means no flash. At all.

As the photographer I will not direct your wedding. My role is merely "active passive".
